I look pretty!

S had a friend come over today and they had a great time together! We went over to grandma's and went swimming all day. The kids barely came out of the water, good thing because it was hot! They are cute girls.

T found a little friend in the grass today. He was not afraid of the little lizard at all - it was walking all over his arms and even went on top of his head. It freaked me out just watching it in his hair, but he loved it!

When it gets quiet in the house we start to get a little worried. Well, it got quiet tonight and so I asked T to go and make sure his little sister was okay. She is a very busy one. She is sweet, funny and kind - but very curious and busy. He came back down the stairs hiding her behind his back. He said,"She's o.k, but wait till you see her." I looked at her and her face was red - and in T's hand was a new stick of lipstick. She had gotten into my makeup in my bathroom! I guess I should be surprised it hasn't happened yet. I brought her back upstairs to see what kind of mess she made and to stick her in the tub - and I grabbed my camera to document the event! I decided to have her hold the lipstick again so I could take a picture and remember what she had done. Well, she happened to be standing in front of my long mirror and when she turned around I caught her reaction on the camera. Seriously, this is frame by frame her reaction - looking, surprise and then liking it!! It really makes me laugh when I see these pictures. She is so funny.

yummy cookies!!

S & T made their first batch of cookies today, and they did really good! They decided on peanut butter cookies & they did pretty much everything themselves. I helped them read the recipe and they put it all together. I haven't made cookies in a long time - and I know why - I have no will power and cookies are my thing. I want to swipe one every time I walk by. I wish I had taken some pics of the kids making them!! But I have always wanted to take pics of cookies, so here they are - they wont last long!

Tonight after I put the older 2 to bed H and I came downstairs for our nightly routine. Only, tonight she wanted to put on some dress-up wings. I love it when they wear wings, so I Iet her play for a little while. She stripped off all her clothes and put on the wings and we went outside. She ran all over the yard and then turned to me and said. "It's not working. I cant fly." It was so cute!! Then the sprinklers turned on and she jumped so high!

day at the park

This summer is just flying by! I cant believe how fast it is going, it is making me sad. We are going to play a little harder to make sure we are enjoying every single day we have left!

Today we had swim again, we just started the last of our 4 weeks. It makes me so happy to see how well they are doing. S is amazing, she makes swimming actually look pretty. T is trying so hard and doing so good! His teacher last time suggested on his report card for him to stay in the same level, but then checked off all the requirements. He was upset and so I told him I would move him up a class if he worked really hard - and he is! I am really proud of both of them.

Swimming wasn't enough to get out all of their energy, so we headed over to the park to ride bikes and play. They love to ride bikes!

It was really humid today, check out H's hair - it was a great hair day! I love it.

Sweet baby...

My sister Angie drove down and spent the last couple of days with us. I am so glad she came. It was great, we swam and played everyday. It is fun to watch the cousins together, they are getting so big. I was able to take a couple of pictures of the new baby, she is 2 months now and sooo cute. I love all of them so much. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

My top 25 tunes (today!)

O.K. I am taking Raimi's suggestions and looking at the top 25 songs in my ipod right now. They are so random! I know this changes all the time, but this is what it is today!

Music is my love, it has been since I was a little girl. I got my first real stereo in 4th grade - a double cassette recorder, record player & two huge detachable speakers! - and used to sit by it all day so I could tape my favorite songs off the radio (on a cassette tape with scotch tape across the top!) When I was in high school my mom couldn't understand why I would spend my money on tapes - and then later CD's! It was definately love when I met Pete and he was such a music fan too. One of our favorite things is collecting good music, it just makes me happy.

1. Tell Me 'Bout It - Joss Stone
2. My Wish - Rascal Flatts
3. You Make My Dreams - Daryl Hall & John Oates
4. What Goes Around... / ...Comes Around - Justin Timberlake
5. Everybody's Changing - Keane
6. Ordinary Miracle - Sarah McLachlan
7. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme - They Might Be Giants
8. Irreplaceable - Beyoncé
9. Roni - Bobby Brown
10. I'll Stand By You - Carrie Underwood
11. Gel - Collective Soul
12. Rock with you - Michael Jackson
13. Better now -Collective Soul
14. Hysteria - Def Leppard
15. September - Earth Wind and Fire
16. Free - Elliott Yamin
17. Escape my love - Enrique Iglesias
18. Big Girls Don't Cry - Fergie
19. Holiday - Green Day
20. Save Room - John Legend
21. P.Y.T. - Michael Jackson
22. N Dey Say - Nelly
23. These Days - Rascal Flatts
24. Live Like You Were Dying - Tim McGraw
25. California Love - Tupac

O.K. now it is everyone else's turn!!

Pete & I went out on a date with some friends tonight and got to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It was nice to get out and have some fun! I was so excited to see this movie and thought it was great. I am a huge Harry Potter geek - I love everything about it. I love the characters, the plots, the imagination - they are amazing. I cant wait until Saturday so I can get book 7. I am so excited to read it, but nervous too, I am scared about the ending. One thing is for sure - I am going to be hibernating next weekend!

S loves Harry Potter too and when she found out we were going to see it she was upset. I told her it was PG-13 and that meant she needed to be 13 to see it. She didn't argue with me about it when I told her that. It always cracks me up how easy it is to tell the kids they cant do something by telling them it isn't for their age. Like games & toys for instance, if we are at store and they want something all I have to do is say it isn't for their age and they totally stop asking for it. It always makes me smile. Anyway, a little while later she was still thinking about the movie and she turned to me and said, "I wish Harry Potter was PG-8". That is so cute!

The kids had fun the last 2 days jumping on the tramp with the sprinkler underneath it. They get wet and then slip all over the place - thank goodness no one got hurt. They are so funny to watch. They really do have fun being together. I came home tonight to find all 3 of them sleeping in my bed. They looked so cute and I am so glad they have each other.

H really loves her brother and sister. She didn't even cry tonight when we left because she had them here with her. But earlier today when they left for a little while she cried for them for almost half and hour - and I was home! A couple of days ago the older 2 went over to a friends home to play and when H woke up they were already gone. She looked at me and asked "Where are my kids?" She asked me it over and over and was so upset! Finally when it was time to go and pick them up we got in the car and she yells "H is coming kids!" I am not sure what I am going to do when school starts up again and they are both gone. Any ideas?

check her out!!

I always like to kiss the kids & make sure they are comfy before I go to bed. Well, last night this is what H looked like when I went in to check on her! I always move her little bed right up against the closet so she doesn't fall out, but somehow she managed to slip in between the two - and just kept sleeping! She didn't even wake up when we moved her, it was funny.

What happened?!!

Well, last week was a fluke. I thought church this week was going to be easy and that we were going to enjoy our classes, but no. H wouldn't go to nursery again. I took her up just like last week but she was so upset! I have never seen her cry like she did - it was so sad & frustrating. She cried and asked for daddy, so I took her to him - then when I left she cried for me. Pete ended up having to take her for a ride in the car to calm her down. She had a tough day. I wonder when this will get easier.

Swim lessons are so fun - the kids are doing great! They both are swimming so well and are loving every second of it. S has such a natural stroke and is so quick, she is already way better than I am! T is so funny to watch. I keep hearing his teacher tell him to stay on top of the water. The problem is that the kid is so thick, he is seriously a tank - he already weighs 50 pounds. He just sinks. But he swims hard & is doing great. Three more weeks to go!

Here are some of our goggle pictures!

4th of July!

This year 4th of July was hot!! It was 105 degrees, so we spent the afternoon in the pool again. Thank goodness grandma and grandpa have a pool and always let us come over when we want! It was fun, the water felt great. The kids just love to swim and they are doing so good! Even H, she jumps in the pool in the deep end and swims to the other side - she has on her life vest & arm floaties, she is so cute.

At night we headed over to the Links house for dinner and fireworks. We figured out we have gone over to their house for 4th of July every year since we have been married - so for 11 years. We had a great dinner and the kids had fun with their cousins - they love to see Sarah, Stevie & Joey! They set off fireworks in the front yard and H hated them! So grandpa held her close and covered her ear until she fell asleep. The other 2 loved them and even helped to light them at the end of the night. It was fun getting together with family, we love them!

Swim lessons!!!

Guess what we started today! It is our summer ritual (our 6th year of going to the aquatic center)- a tradition that the kids just cant wait for. They have been asking me since Christmas when swim lessons were going to start, no joke. This morning T forgot it was the first day & when I asked him to put on his swimsuit he remembered and started dancing and yelling all over the house - so excited.

I was wondering how it would go with H because she is going to have to sit and watch the others swim, but she did so good. She was upset at first. She watched the other 2 get their suits on and was so mad at me for putting regular clothes on her. But I literally didn't hear a word from her once we got there, she just watched everyone. She is the sweetest little girl.
We will see how it goes - we are going everyday in July!

H went to nursery!

Yesterday we went to see the movie Ratatouille with the kids, it was fun. It is amazing how they can get a rat to look so cute!

Today was a really nice Sunday. First of all, H actually went to nursery! That is a major, major accomplishment for her. Usually her daddy takes her up to nursery and cant leave - she cries hysterically the second he puts her down. I have been talking to her about it all week & have been telling her that I am going to leave her there & come back and pick her up. So when I took her today she didn't cry when I left and she stayed the entire time! My friend Stephanie helped her to be happy - thank you Stephanie! - but it was such a huge step for her. We are going to be talking about it all week so hopefully she will do it again!

After church we had our ward missionaries over for dinner. They are the best missionaries. They are such great examples, sweet to the kids and they work so hard. We are so lucky to have them in our ward. They are Elder Ratliff, Elder Cuthbertson and Elder Grant - it was fun to have them over tonight.

Then we went to a baptism tonight for a young man who just joined the church. It was so great to be there and feel the spirit and see his excitement. He was eager to participate and thank everyone that came. During the baptism they played a video of our prophet, President Gordon B. Hinkley, and while I watched him giving his testimony I realized how much I love him. I am so grateful for the prophet. I am grateful to Heavenly Father for giving me a prophet to guide me, teach me and receive revelation for me. I am so blessed!
