Today was a lazy day, and it felt great. We stayed in our jammies until lunch time and read, watched cartoons and didn't do much. S is reading this summer to earn Sonic drinks & it is a big motivator! T was inventing things all day - he invented a bag that can bring things upstairs without having to actually go up them - great idea. H followed me all day and couldn't keep her clothes on. Every time I turned around she had taken off her clothes and sometimes her diaper too!
Tonight there was a movie playing in the park behind our house and it was a lot of fun. The city played Ice Age on a big screen in the middle of the park and we sat out on a blanket and watched it together. It was freezing though! Pete had to go back and get some blankets for us, who would have known it would be so cold at the end of June. I love it though, I got to come home and put on my cozy jammies again!

Friends...
Today was another fun summer day - park, friends, sun. We went to the park and met some friends in the morning and then went over to another friends home in the afternoon. It was really fun - the kids ran through the sprinklers and I got to spend some time with my friend, Kellie. Today made me realize how blessed we are to have such wonderful friends and people in our lives!
The girls have been great friends since kindergarten and are so cute. I am so glad S has such a sweet, good friend.
There was a praying mantis in the back yard!
Thanks Kellie for letting us come over and have a great time at your home!

Swimming...
There is pretty much only one thing my kids like to do in the summer - take that back, they would do it any time of the year if I let them. They LOVE to swim, and they could do it all day long. Their new fun game is to pretend they are dolphins and whales (we went to Marine World a couple weeks ago.) It is fun to watch, especially since H can swim all over the pool by herself now - she wears a life vest and floaties - it is really a crack up to see her.
S is so big this summer. I look at her lately and can really see a difference from last year. I can't believe she is going to be in 3rd grade. She is such a good girl and has the sweetest heart. She is always trying to make me happy and to do what is right. She is a great example to me, she has such amazing faith. She is getting big, but is still a baby - it makes me happy that she still wants to cuddle and snuggle with me. I love her!

my ballerina
H is turning into such a little girl- no longer a baby! She loves princesses, pink and has so much fun pretending to be a ballerina. She dances and twirls all over the room to her sisters music. She is getting big so quickly and is such a happy little person. It is amazing how each of my kids has such different personalities - H is just a joy to be around! She is a silly little girl, always making us laugh. She is so smart too - she is constantly suprising us with something new to say or do. I am so lucky to be her mom.

Tough Guy!
T always get a good shave at the beginning of summer, but this time we decided to make it interesting! I have never met a kid who cares so much about what his hair looks like and has to have it a certain way. He literally gets out of the shower and will comb his hair before he puts on his clothes. That is why we shave it in the summer, with all the swimming we cant be worrying about hair all the time! He also loves to be the "cool guy" and have his hair spiked with his glasses. He thought he was so tough with a Mohawk! He LOVED it! He made tough faces and wore his glasses everywhere.
We let him have it for a couple of days and then shaved it all off before church - I was really proud of him, he wanted to look nice and it just didn't fit with his little suit and tie he insists on wearing every week! On the way to church he asked me what he looked like now, and when I didn't know he said, " a missionary!" Dang, he is cute.
